Start where you are
Limitations can feel…uhh…limiting. Restrictive. But sometimes our limitations can be utilized as an opportunity. As someone who has struggled with decisiveness and risk taking (the struggle is I’m not good with either of those things), I have come to appreciate the simplicity of limitations. Too many options is a real thing for me. All of this to say, when I started out with photography I thought that I had to go out and find something truly awe inspiring to take photos of. It had to be a trip, it had to be a hike with beautiful scenery. I’ve come to appreciate that isn’t the case, that we can start with something as simple as a room, the way the light pattern hits a wall, an interesting piece of decor. Simplest of all, we can turn the camera on ourselves. Just start where you are.
